Naglalakad sa mga pilapil (walking through trails in the rice fields)

"The rains came down and the floods came up" has been the theme for these past couple weeks. Rainy season in Zambales is INSANE!

We had a really good week though this last week. We were able to teach a lot of our investigators, the Branch President worked with us a  couple times, and I had my last Zone Conference! It's going to be so hard to say goodbye to all these people in a couple weeks!

We scheduled Nanay Gonzales' baptismal interview for this coming Friday. She is getting baptized this Saturday and we are all so excited for her! We were also able to teach her son and are planning for him to get baptized at the end of this month. I love the Gonzales family! Her other son (who is a recent convert) passed the sacrament yesterday as well.

About Zone Conference, our topic was taken from a talk given by Dieter F. Uchtdorf called "A word for the hesitant missionary."  This was one of my favorite quotes from his talk;

"A favorite saying of mine often attributed to St. Francis of Assisi reads, “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.” Implicit in this saying is the understanding that often the most powerful sermons are unspoken.

When we have integrity and live consistently by our standards, people notice. When we radiate joy and happiness, they notice even more."

We as members of the church stand as a light to others, it says in Matthew "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Aren't we all so blessed to have the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives? I am so thankful that I have been able to share it with others not only through words, but through many acts of service to my brothers and sisters. Because I have seen so many lives change from this, I cannot wait to continue to do so throughout my entire life.

"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy. "

I hope you all have a fantastic week! I sure am thankful for you!!
