Cabangan WARD na po!!

Magandang hapon po sa lahat ng aking mga kamag-anak at kaibigan! (Good afternoon to all my family and friends!)

We had another awesome week with some awesome news! We got Nanay Gonzales baptized which was fantastic! We also received the news that San Antonio district is going to become a stake on August 5th! That means Cabangan is becoming a ward!! I also served in San Narciso for 6 months last year in the same district so this is a pretty big deal for me and everyone in the San Antonio District!

We went to Nanay Gonzales's house to go over baptismal interview questions for her interview, and she pulled out a notebook. Nanay had read every pamphlet we had given her and  filled up about 10 pages worth of Book of Mormon verses and additional answers she had found while reading the pamphlets. I was honestly shocked at how prepared she was for her baptism. After her baptism she bore a beautiful testimony and thanked the Elders for not giving up on her. When she got done, I asked her how she felt. She told me that she was SO HAPPY and testified to me that Heavenly Father really knows her. She said she was super stressed because she didn't know how she was going to organize her week so she could come to her baptism. Everything worked out though!

We were hoping to get Amnel baptized last week. We were supposed to get him baptized with Nanay Gonzales but we weren't able to contact him. So we are hoping to be able to teach him this week and get everything ready. His Grandma agreed to speak at his baptism which is going to be awesome, cause she is the kindest old lady ever!

Speaking of old ladies, a couple of days ago we were passing a Nanay (old lady) on the street and I said "Hello po Nay, magandang hapon!" Well that was the wrong thing to say cause I straight scared nanay and apparently she had been taking some Jedi classes cause her umbrella went from cane to lightsaber in .003 seconds. I don't know if that's just like a natural instinct that old ladies have, but I sure was impressed by her reflexes!

Well I am excited to see y'all next week! Take care and continue to be a light! Love ya!
