Maple Leaves!!!

Well this was an interesting week. I became a "Tatay" (dad) on Wednesday which means I have an "anak" (kid). I'm training Elder Hall from Lethbridge, Canada. He is AWESOME! He's just what I needed right now. He has the MTC fire! Elder Hall entered the MTC on September 7th last year, the day I flew out to the Philippines, so he should only be one transfer behind me but he blew out his knee in the MTC and had to go home for 6 months. He's here now though, and I'm his trainer! Lucky him!!! ;)
It was holy week last week and let me tell ya, they go all out here. There was a parade on the highway that kind of reminded me of the new year's day parade we have back in the states with all the floats and such the only difference is they have humongous statues of Mother Mary on top of their floats so yep that was interesting. And a guy nailed himself to a cross for 1500 pesos. ($30)

I love Easter! I am so thankful for what my Savior did for me. He lived, died and rose again the third day. Because he overcame the grave, so can we. We can become clean through His Atonement. Because He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, our Savior knows us perfectly. He knows us individually. I am forever thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ.

Next week I get to give another talk in primary! Woohoo! I love the primary kids. I guess they love me as well cause they keep asking me to give talks. I get to talk about Jesus, and then we get to go on an Easter egg hunt, or maybe just the kids do, I'm not sure... ;) like dad always says "man my memory is so bad, I could hide my own Easter eggs." All I know is there is going to be candy there. yay!

Well, I love all of you, have a great week!
